Immaturity

Immaturity has stealthily entered my thoughts at least three times today so I thought I’d share.  I am going to attempt at making some clever and potentially quotable sentences about immaturity.  Let me know if I haven’t unknowingly plagiarized somebody else’s ideas.

Immaturity is anything you’ve done or said but are only thinking about now.

Being immature is forgivable as long as you’ve documented your actions with photographs or video, especially when done artistically.

You are the most accurate detector of your own maturity, but only in retrospect.

Ideas 1 and 3 are similar, they follow the train of thought I took this afternoon.  The highlight of my intellectual commute was that nearly everything I’ve done, when recalled, has a degree of immaturity.

Don’t get immaturity mixed up with juvenile.  An immature action is one you wouldn’t necessarily take as a mature individual.  A juvenile action is an action a teenager would take.

I suppose my point is that I am more mature now than I was 5 minutes ago and I am way more mature than I was 5 years ago.  I don’t think I’ll stop doing things I consider immature, it just that they’ll be different from things I’ve already done.

I’d explore this further but a snorty baby needs to be de-boogered.
