These dragonflies magically appeared one day and were around the garden for about two days then disappeared. Where they went I have no idea, but they were quite beaudragonflytiful when they were here.

I really feel bad for these bees, maybe it’s the sad accompanying music or the fact that the giant hornets can decapitate a bee in a single bite. I guess it’s just nature, but if this kind of attack were to be translated to human scale (or applied to humans versus, say, giant insects a la Starship Troopers) it would be freakishly gruesome. Maybe I just don’t want to have to explain this to my little baby girl.
