Today was photoday. I had wanted to take a few specific shots, but I ended up skipping those and focusing on using my new-ish macro lens. I was pleased with the results. A 1:1 macro lens has the capability to make objects appear life size on the camera sensor. My expertise ends there. My guess this that if you shoot 1:2 then the object appears 1/2 life size on the sensor. So 1:n equals 1/n size on the sensor. Just a guess. The photo of my macro [...] I found a used Tamron AF 90mm f/2.8 1:1 macro lens for my Nikon SLR on Amazon. I saved a ridiculous amount of money ($600) and now have a lens I really like. It’s not perfect, but it is fun to play with. We’re lucky we live where we do, as all I need to [...] I set up a mini photography studio today to photograph my dice. These are just my dice sets, of either 12 D6s or 7 gaming dice (those pictures have a D4 and D6 in them). The mini studio.
