A 1:1 macro lens has the capability to make objects appear life size on the camera sensor. My expertise ends there. My guess this that if you shoot 1:2 then the object appears 1/2 life size on the sensor. So 1:n equals 1/n size on the sensor. Just a guess. The photo of my macro [...]

I set up a mini photography studio today to photograph my dice. These are just my dice sets, of either 12 D6s or 7 gaming dice (those pictures have a D4 and D6 in them).

This post is a note to selves… Next year when taking photographs of our annual Turkey Day Disc Golf (TDDG) we should remember the following:
use a tripod
use the flash for single shots only
primarily use burst mode
